Government House Victoria is offering tours of the State Apartments, available to members of the public.
These tours are an opportunity to experience one of Victoria’s most iconic buildings.
Built between 1872 and 1876, Government House Victoria is recognised as ‘one of the largest and most beautiful mansion houses in Australia’ and is considered to be one of the finest examples of 19th-century residential architecture, according to the Victorian Heritage Register.
The tours are led by a senior member of the Government House staff and provide a unique insight into the constitutional, ceremonial, international and community engagement duties of the Governor.
